Process and prepare documents for shipment.

Call and schedule or coordinate shipments for pickup and delivery. 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:  Contact freight companies and arrange shipments for domestic and foreign shipments.

Produce shipping documents including packing slips, freight bills, commercial invoices, shippers letter of instruction or any other export documents required.  Offer shipping quotes as required.

Track shipments as required.      

Qualifications and Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Qualifications: High School Diploma required.

Prior experience in logistics.

Core Competencies: Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office required.

A desire to succeed and has good work ethics.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

High energy, self- starter, hands-on, comfortable working with little administrative support.

Close attention to detail.

Ability to perform basic math skills.

Available to work until freight is arranged for pickup.  

 Shipping Associate REQUIREMENTS:


* Permanent work authorization for the USA required


* High School diploma or equivalent


* Must possess strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity


* Must adhere by safety policies and maintain a safe work station


* Must be driven with a sense of responsibility and accountability


* Strong work ethic


* Ability to stand for long hours


* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds


* Highly dependable and flexible


* Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate within a team environment.


* Ability to read, speak and write English and follow both written and verbal instructions


* Attention to detail and precision in work


* Available to work overtime hours

The following experiences are considered a plus:


* Stand-up Reach Truck experience


* Knowledgeable on computers


* Possesses critical thinking skills
