Advanced Manufacturing Process Engineer

POSITION PURPOSE

The Advanced Manufacturing Process Engineer – Americas, is responsible for the overall management of manufacturing processes to ensure process capacity and capability readiness for the growth of our financial and operational results.

This will entail having a deep knowledge in various manufacturing processes including fabrication, assembly, related automation equipment in accordance with the relevant processes to meet the requirements of the Americas region for capacity and capability readiness.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


* Lead the Americas region to optimize specific Process & Technology launches into the Americas manufacturing plants, overall fabrication & assembly processes, layout design, and related activities.

Collaborate with local plants, other regions, and the Global team to create vision for future factory specifications.


* Develop and implement plans and projects to ensure that factory capacity and capability meets the throughput needs of our business plans and growth strategies working closely with the Product & Platform teams, manufacturing plants, and other regional and global manufacturing teams and engineers.


* Lead the exploration of innovative ideas and out of the box thinking to improve the manufacturing processes towards the industry 4 concept.


* Ensure the Americas manufacturing plants can assimilate assigned core Process & Technologies into their operating goals through positive impact to key performance measures.


* Responsible for ensuring the overall optimization of manufacturing processes.

Develop key measures and actions plans to drive demonstrated results towards design goals.


* Develop detailed plans and road maps working with Manufacturing and Design teams, including recommendations and solutions for the optimal development and deployment of process for the purpose of incorporating major process changes into annual operating plans.


* Participate in the Americas manufacturing design guidance (DFMA) and process reviews (PFMEA) for new processes and technologies.


* Effectively manage allocated capital and expense plans for the current year and development of plans tied to our growth strategies and business plans.


* Involve and assist in the procurement and application of sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and coil fabrication equipment.


* Partner with other Global and Regional manufacturing engineering functions to drive harmonization and standardization.


* Ensure KPIs are aligned with business goals and support the setting of aggressive targets.

 KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS


* Bachelor's degree in industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant field required.


* A minimum of 10 years of experience in hard goods manufacturing, manufacturing or industrial project management, capital management, and continuous improvement roles.
