Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in exploratory drilling and assist with logging cores.
* Assist with Electrical Resistivity Imaging (ERI) hardware and use data collected to estimate preliminary understanding of deposit.
* Review exploratory drilling logs and collaborate with others to determine location, size, accessibility, and estimated volumes of deposits.
* Assist in determining short-range and long-range planning designs using mine planning software.
* Fly drone for mine planning, inventory management, topography mapping, and stripping calculations
* Use drone company software to measure inventory piles.
* Assist with Quality Control / Quality Assurance assessments.
* Use GPS to stake out locations and/or store points to be used for future designs.
* Shadow operations, safety, and/or performance personnel at aggregate sites
* Assist with Drilling and Blasting tasks including flying drone, using GPS to create driller report, and using software to create 3D blast profile.
* Present to stakeholders from various departments.
* Detect safety hazards and respond accordingly.

Position Overview
This position is physical in nature and needs someone who is able to be versatile in their abilities.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
Report any problems to your manager.
Assist construction / paving crew / plant crew with various duties such as; shoveling and raking and running wheelbarrow.
Perform general labor duties when necessary.
Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or job site.
May be called upon to run small power tools such as jack hammer.
Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment of various sizes used in road, site or highway construction and paving.
Perform minor servicing and maintenance of equipment; refer major problems to the Foreman.
Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
Dig, spread and level construction materials.
Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies.
Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain traffic controls in all assigned work zones.
Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager or Human Resources Manager.
Responsible for understanding general work flow patterns in work zones and ensuring proper protocol and traffic requirements are followed and discussed with foreman/supervisor.
Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
Direct movement of traffic through site, using sign, hand and flag signals.
Inform construction workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.
Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
Record license number of traffic control violators for police.
Follow direction of foreman as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
