Georgia-Pacific is now hiring Maintenance Technicians at our Mogadore, OH facility located just outside of Akron!
$5,000 sign on bonus!
Salary:
$31.21/hr up to $43.63/hr.
/ depending on experience !
Dupont Schedule:
Rotating 12-hour shifts, as follows:
Week One: 4 nights on / 3 days off
Week Two: 3 days on / 1 day off
Week Three: 3 nights on / 3 days off
Week Four: 4 days on / 7 days off
That's one full week off every 4th week!
Our Team
We have multiple maintenance technician levels available.
Placement (Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Craft) will be determined based on experience, skills, and capabilities demonstrated.
What You Will Do
Depending upon your specific role as described above, skills and knowledge you may participate in the following:
* Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
* Helping to meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
* Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings
* Perform all maintenance checks and preventive maintenance in a safe and timely manner
* Upload/download and research online the necessary software, maintenance and operation manual for equipment pertaining to the business to aid in performing tasks
* Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours/day in a loud/noisy, hot, humid, dusty, greasy, and high-volume environment
* Supporting our safe working environment by maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
* Willing to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
The following includes both mechanical and electrical activities, however, General Maintenance Technicians will focus on the mechanical aspects and support electrical depending upon skills and knowledge:
* Troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical problems and repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures
* Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics
* Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities
* Troubleshooting and repairing automated systems with remote technical support
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* At least 3 - 5 years of maintenance experience within an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment
* Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
* Experience performing preventative maintenance and identifying predictive maintenance of equipment

As a CNC Programmer II (1st Shift), you will program, set up, and operate CNC milling centers to produce precision components that meet blueprint requirements, tolerance expectations, and quality standards.
You will also document best practices and help develop others through training and mentorship.
Our Team
You will join a machine shop team focused on safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
The team works closely with engineering, quality, and production partners to continuously improve machining processes and support business needs.
What You Will Do
* Program, set up, and operate Fanuc and HAAS CNC milling centers using Mastercam
* Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications to define dimensions, tolerances, and machining sequences
* Produce parts to close tolerances using appropriate gauges and inspection tools
* Document setups and machining processes using written descriptions, sketches, and/or models to support repeatability and knowledge sharing
* Train and mentor junior operators and apprentices on setup, safe operation, and process discipline
* Follow required safety procedures and support a clean, organized work area
* Support overtime and weekend work when needed to meet production commitments
* Perform additional duties as assigned to support shop priorities
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* 3-7 years of experience in manual machining and CNC setup/programming (including conversational programming)
* Experience setting up and operating CNC milling centers (Fanuc and/or HAAS)
* Ability to read and interpret complex machine and component drawings/blueprints
* Ability to speak/read English and follow verbal and written instructions
* Ability to train others and share machining knowledge effectively
* Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed

Details:
* Perform maintenance, repair, installation, and turnaround activities on mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process equipment to support safe and reliable mill operations.
* Continuous Schedule
* 8 -hour regular time and 2-hour overtime workdays
* Mobilization/Demobilization provided for up to 12 hours of travel each way.
* LOA for non-locals: $ 170 per day
Qualifications
* Valid Journeyperson or Apprentice Trade certificate.
* Minimum 4 years of industrial experience preferred.
* Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements:

+ Fall Protection
+ Confined Space Entry
