KAG Logistics is seeking a high-impact Brokerage Manager to help build and scale our HQ based freight brokerage operation.
This role serves as a foundational leader responsible for developing people, driving sales execution, and establishing operational discipline to support sustainable growth.
This position is a critical people leadership role and culture builder.
The Manager will recruit, coach, and develop brokerage talent while ensuring day-to-day brokerage operations are executed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
The ideal candidate thrives in a high-growth environment, brings strong transportation industry experience, and can translate strategic direction into consistent team execution.
Working closely with KAGL's senior leadership team, Brokerage Manager will help establish North Canton as a scalable brokerage hub by building a high-performing team, reinforcing best practices, and delivering service excellence to customers and carrier partners.
Essential Functions
Leadership, Talent & Branch Development
* Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop brokerage talent to support rapid and sustainable growth of the North Canton office
* Coach early-career and mid-level brokers on sales behaviors, operational execution, and professional development
* Build a high-performance culture centered on accountability, learning, and continuous improvement

* Translate company strategy into clear expectations, workflows, and KPI standards
Sales Execution & Growth Support
* Drive growth of the brokerage business unit in partnership with senior leadership
* Support brokers in cradle-to-grave sales and account management functions including: customer acquisition, carrier sourcing, and account development
* Reinforce best practices in prospecting, pipeline management, margin discipline, and customer retention
* Ensure consistent CRM usage and activity tracking
* Collaborate with Business Development and asset-based transportation teams to identify cross-functional opportunities
Operational Execution & Service
* Oversee daily brokerage operations across assigned accounts, modes, and regions
* Ensure loads are executed according to customer requirements, contracts, and SOPs
* Monitor service performance, including on-time pickup/delivery, exception management, and service recovery
