Position Summary:
The Transportation Associate provides transportation services to the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center PACE centers, serving the frail elderly, and providing courier services between EBNHC locations and PACE sites.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Offers emotional and physical support to frail elderly patients and families.
* Transports participants to/from inside their homes to/from the assigned PACE Center or appointment (via stair chair carry, wheelchair or walking assistance).
* Properly secures participants, equipment and other items in the van prior to operating the vehicle.

ConMet is a global leader in the design and manufacture of components for the commercial vehicle industry, and we are looking for an Engineer for our advanced Manufacturing Engineering team to support that innovation for our plants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Promotes & provides technical support for continuous improvement in environmental, safety, or quality issues by ensuring that equipment is designed, modified or repaired to maintain and improve performance.
* Ensures that equipment can produce parts to specification within acceptable production times/costs.
* Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
* Writes, submits, and manages Capital/Expense Projects, including analysis for justification.
* Provides training and work instructions on new equipment and process changes.
* Develops and Implements cost reduction ideas, lean initiatives; 5-S, Kaizen, Standard Work Instructions, and TPS.
* Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
* Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
* Bachelor degree in engineering related field combined with manufacturing experience with both manual and automated processes
* Knowledge of Computer Hardware / general software and networking.
* Progression of Successful Project Management Completions
Mathematical Skills
* Engineering level math skills required to perform engineering calculations pertaining to machine design and mechanical measurements.
* Ability to perform statistical analysis.
* PLC software and Ladder Logic experience
Reasoning & Decision Making Ability:
* Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
* Ability to evaluate processes, equipment capability and design intentions.
* Ability to solve difficult technical problems with information provided or developed through analysis.
Environmental & Physical Demands:
* Duties are split between an office environment and the manufacturing floor.
* Adequate hearing protection is provided and required at key locations.
* Occupational exposure to fumes and dust is encountered during performance of some required duties.
Personal Protective Equipment including safety glasses and steel-toed, industrial footwear is required at key locations.
* Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

* Follow established QC procedures as listed on the QC card.
* Advise batchmaker of any adjustments required to bring batch into conformance with standard.
* Recheck batch after adjustment(s) until product is within established specifications.

* Develop “Batch Problem Report” when batch will not conform to standard.
* Check incoming raw materials as required by QC manual.
* Maintain self-education of quality control procedures and techniques.
