Maximus is currently hiring for Exam Schedulers to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team.
This is a remote opportunity.
The Exam Scheduler is responsible for scheduling Compensation and Pension ("C&P") medical exams, for Veterans and Service Members, with trained VES providers.
Additionally, they maintain close communication and build rapport with providers to capture exam availability, and build a relationship of trust and confidence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Search veteran cases in assigned regions within OMS; - Call or email providers to request exam time availability and schedule examinations; - Coordinate with traveling providers to conduct examinations in high volume areas; - Notify veterans if providers call to reschedule; - Add and remove provider block times into OMS when necessary; - Daily check and schedule cases that are assigned the Pending Follow- Up Schedule Status; - Always ensure the appropriate scheduler is assigned to the correct case; - Ask the VA for approval if veteran resides farther out than contractual mileage limitations; - Communicate with Call Center, Cappers, Veteran Liaisons, Diagnostics, and PRC Departments when needed; - Cross- train in other areas when employees are not in the office.
