Nemours is seeking a Physician Authorization/Referral Specialist!
The Specialist is responsible for obtaining and processing Elective, Urgent, and Emergent referrals and authorizations for physician based services and some office based services, including but not limited to cardiology, audiology test, laboratory testing.
The Specialist is also responsible for obtaining genetic testing approval and medication authorizations and other assigned outpatient services.
The Specialist will work with partner hospitals for claim submission and registration accuracy.

Estimates are prepared during the authorization process for in office testing and procedures.
The Specialist is also responsible for researching and notifying the servicing departments of co-payment responsibilities.
It is the very important that the Specialist understand and interpret benefits correctly in order to communicate and estimate out of pocket responsibility according to the patients insurance benefit.
Should a service date approach without prior authorization and or referral the specialist will follow the Administrative Approval process to ensure that patient responsibility is accounted for.
This position collaborates with: Hospital Authorization department, non Nemours physician offices, managed care department and Nemours Physicians, and Departmental Administrative Staff to ensure that accurate information is collected and distributed effectively and efficiently.
The specialist will collaborate with partner hospital to s=ensure that claims are processed timely and effectively.
They will also partner with outside resources such as Paths to ensure enrollment with Medicaid payers takes place timely.
The Specialist utilizes daily reports and work queues to complete follow up on non-approved cases and assure completion prior tto service date according to department standards.

The Genetic Counselor Assistant (GCA) provides support regarding genetic testing services with functions that involve coordination of genetic testing, insurance verification management, and provider and patient interaction.

Our surgeons perform all of the complex cardiac repairs, including definitive neonatal surgery, adult congenital surgery, and heart transplantation.
They utilize all forms of mechanical support (VAD's, ECMO, ECLS) as an adjunct to our very active heart failure and pulmonary hypertension service.
This position will include working some night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Obtain medical histories, perform physical exams, order and interpret laboratory data, and prescribe management and medications on patients admitted to our inpatient service.
* Present patients on rounds, write daily progress notes, collate inpatient records, and complete discharge summaries using the electronic medical record.
* Assist in the preoperative and postoperative care of surgical patients.
* Provide continuity of care when coordinating care with other members of the health care team.
* Attend and present departmental patient care conferences and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

The Night Production Supervisor has the responsibility for directing shift personnel in the operation of the facility, ensuring consistent manufacture of finished products meeting all customer volume and quality requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Coordinate activities within all process areas ensuring product meets all defined scheduling and quality requirements.
* Work with Operators to organize and maximize inclusion of all raw materials and rework to be utilized in production process.
* Ensure that physical characteristics are monitored hourly.
* Evaluate products for specs, grits, flavor, density, mix abilities and moisture, ensuring finished product meets all quality specifications.
* Implement and enforce safety and regulatory programs to ensure long term safe operation of the facility.
* Lead and supervise all production personnel in functional areas constantly raising the standard of performance.
* Help development programs for employees including SOP’s, quality specifications, safety, and job expectations.
* Responsible for communicating performance/KPI’s to the team on a daily basis.
* Ensure inventory accuracy and timely completion of all shift reports including Inventory levels as the plants KPI matrix.
Coordinate all record keeping with Production Manager such as production, quality assurance, inventory control, production planning and administrative personnel.
* Responsible for nightly production reporting
* Team with Plant Manager and Production Manager with the continual evaluation of production and efficiency records to improve equipment capabilities and outputs.
* Help develop the weekly and/or monthly production schedule and employee staffing in accordance to business needs.
* Maintain and improve all plant sanitation programs.
Responsible for keeping the plant clean and orderly at all times.
* Coordinate and schedule equipment repairs with Maintenance department as necessary and coordinate preventative maintenance.

The Night Production Manager has the responsibility for directing the facility to support overall business objectives including managing all aspects of daily production, including inventory accuracy, maintaining sanitation, and assisting the EHS manager with the implementation of the Safety programs and policies of the Production area.
