JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the general guidance of Ice Sheet Event Managers, Event Staff will assist in setup and cleanup of all ice arena event operations including concessions, ticket sales, cashier, skate rental, score keeping, & event monitoring.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Event staff includes duties in food & beverage, ticket selling, cashiering, score keeping, and skate rentals/monitoring.
Employees will assist managers in preparing for events throughout the rink in many functions; attend training for and maintain proper food handling habits; maintain inventory counts; provide customer service; prepare food and beverage orders as requested; maintain the cleanliness of concession stands and other work areas and assist in setup and cleanup of assigned areas of the rink for each event.
All part time positions require a general knowledge of janitorial processes and functions and require each team member to perform janitorial duties each shift.
Other duties as assigned.
Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all duties which may be found in positions of this class.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience: Any equivalent combination of experience in money handling, cashiering, event staff, concessions and janitorial work is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):
Knowledge of: General knowledge of janitorial processes and functions.
This position requires each team member to perform janitorial duties each shift.
Skills and Abilities to: All part time positions will be provided on the job training for general Ice Sheet functions including cashiering, concessions, skate rental, score keeping, monitors and game night monitors.
Proficient communication skills, critical thinking skills, time management, task completion, willingness to be a team player and take direction from managers, ability to lift heavy boxes, and ability to perform janitorial duties as assigned are required.
Excellent customer service skills and using verbal and written communication with general public and user groups are required.
YOUR SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
Must obtain a food handler permit and provide the County with a copy of permit.
All part time employees are required to work nights, weekends, including Sundays and some holidays up to 19 hours per week through the end of the peak season (usually the last week in April based on scheduled events and staffing needs per event).
Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment background check prior to starting the position.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our culinary team as a Cook.
This role is essential in providing high-quality food service and ensuring that all dietary needs are met with precision and care.

Duties
* Meal preparation and cooking, ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines and menu planning.
* Collaborate with the dietary department to create balanced menus that cater to various dietary restrictions.
* Provide exceptional food service in a fine dining environment, ensuring that meals are presented beautifully and served promptly.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to all food safety regulations.
* Handle food with care, demonstrating proper food handling techniques at all times.
* Support catering events by preparing and serving meals as needed.

Experience
* Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
* Background in menu planning and fine dining service is highly desirable.
* Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and general kitchen operations within the food industry.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
* Experience in catering or restaurant environments will be considered an asset.
* Culinary experience that showcases strong knife skills and meal preparation techniques is required.

We are looking for 2 part-time dietary aides to join our team
Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday: 2pm to 9pm or Friday-Monday 6am-2pm
Pay: Starting at $17.00/hr
Duties may include but are not limited to:
* Serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis
* Assist in daily cleaning duties
* Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures
* Assure that utensils are readily available for next meal
* Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed
* Complete other dietary service functions assigned by the Dietary Manager
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
* Ensure that all food is handled safely and meets health regulations.
* Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
* Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
* Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with residents during meal times, addressing their needs, and ensuring satisfaction.
* Support cooking staff with various tasks as needed, including food preparation and cooking assistance.
* Follow all safety protocols while working in the kitchen environment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in food service or culinary roles is preferred but not required.
* Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
* Basic knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, staff, and visitors effectively.
* Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks associated with food service duties.
