What’s the job?
As Assistant Night Manager, you will manage and oversee all hotel operations in the absence of the Night Manager or designate during nights.
The principal responsibility is safety and security of guests and colleagues and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the night audit function during the hours of 11pm – 7am.
You’ll not only be the person guests rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience.
You’ll also be in tune with your team, driving performance and engagement and ensuring they receive the right learning and development opportunities to maximise performance and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Your day to day
Oversee all hotel operations overnight
Train colleagues in quality and service standards, ensuring they have the necessary tools and equipment to perform and are empowered to execute in their roles.
Maintain and continue to develop Managers and Frontline colleagues
Ensure guests receive prompt, professional service, personal recognition and a seamless Front & Back of House experience throughout their stay.
Support and ensure Front Office staff provides guests with prompt service, professional attention and personal recognition.
Be the first responder - know how to respond to emergency situations promptly and calmly
Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure manner.
Maintain cashiers float, ensuring accurate daily report of all money received, performs the audit balances and prepares all works for audit in an orderly fashion
Oversee night audit function and preparation of daily financial reports.
Work closely with our finance team to ensure the auditing and reporting process has a high level of detail overnight
Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures.
Demonstrates our One Step Ahead Service Behaviours: Create confidence, Encourage success and Make it happen; and is aligned to True Hospitality service skills expectations.

POSITION OVERVIEW
* Run the operations of the business as if it were your own.
Must have a high business acumen and understand the overall operations of every department.
* Recruit, train and hire department managers to supervise the daily operations of the major departments and consult with them as needed.

Your Responsibilities as a Pole Setting Operator:
* Efficiently operates a digger truck following all construction safety and maintenance codes, standards & guidelines.
Tasks include, but not limited to:
+ using heavy construction vehicles/equipment to install/remove utility poles roadside, off road, or in other hard to access areas,
+ working around energized lines and equipment.
* Provide jobsite/crew oversight to ensure the safety of crew.
* Provide training/coaching for less experienced crew members.
* Procures and uses/operates tools, equipment and instruments of the trade and ensures required maintenance is performed.
* Read, interpret, and work from sketches, diagrams, and work plans.
* Work with internal and external teams in a professional, courteous manner to meet all project requirements, inventory/equipment needs, and schedules including any required documentation.
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet customer demands/schedule, including overtime and emergency duty as requested (nights, weekends, holidays).
* Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What We Need From You (Our Requirements):
* Must have a valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
* High school graduate or equivalent; technical education preferred.

* Must have a demonstrated working knowledge/understanding of relevant utility design, construction, and maintenance including related equipment, safety requirements, standard operating procedures, and federal/state/local laws.
