About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Technical Project Estimator to support our Power Systems business.
In this role, you will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for Medium & Low Voltage projects, playing a key part in winning profitable work and supporting strong commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and commercially sound estimates while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for bids, tenders, and proposals, including quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
* Price materials, equipment, labour, subcontractors, and logistics while developing assumptions, exclusions, and qualifications
* Identify risks and opportunities, support margin optimisation, and review supplier/subcontractor quotations
* Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project teams on tender clarifications and bid reviews
* Support variations, re-estimates, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle
* Maintain cost databases, templates, and ensure estimate accuracy, traceability, and continuous process improvement
About You
You are an analytical and commercially aware professional with strong technical understanding, capable of interpreting complex information and delivering accurate estimates.
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent experience)
* 2-5 years' experience in estimating, tendering, or cost engineering
* Experience with Medium & Low Voltage switchgear
* Strong analytical, numerical, and attention to detail skills
* Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/estimating tools (e.g., SAP, Salesforce) preferred
* Background in electrical or power projects with strong communication and collaboration skills
