POSITION PURPOSE
A shop hourly position with the primary responsibilities to perform final welds of Nexus Banks and units using TIG and MIG welding. Additionally, the position will require flexing throughout the cell to support Cassette and Unit production. As a senior mechanic, the Mechanic I is an influencer, who leads junior mechanics or teams as assigned and demonstrates BAC’s values of Customer Focus, Teamwork, Leading Change, Execution, and Collaboration.
The Mechanic will also be required to train and mentor junior mechanics and assist the department leadership team with daily assignments as directed. The purpose for every position at BAC regardless of department or level can be summed up as doing the right thing in the right way.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Owns personal and team safety.
Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
* Perform functions in all NEXUS stations, including but not limited to Assembly, Wiring, Basic Robotics Operation, and Welding.
* TIG weld units to precise quality and productivity standards

What You Will Do
* Troubleshoot and repair, perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and installation of plant electrical, electronic, instrumentation and automation equipment.
