Position Overview -
AJM Packaging Corporation, one of America’s leading manufacturers of paper products, including paper plates, cups, bowls, and bags, is looking to add Engineering Interns to our Team in Detroit, MI.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in working in various aspects of operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities & Duties -
* In a direct, hands-on capacity, be able to learn, perform and understand all functions involved in the engineering operation of a manufacturing facility.
* Participate in a “hands on,” project-based program to gain experience and knowledge of our machine rebuild and project engineering operations.
* Participation will require everything from “shadowing” other employees to working specific jobs that can range production line work, to machine maintenance to scheduling and more.
* Working directly with machinery and process improvement.
* Take ownership of special projects, as directed by the Director of Manufacturing Technology.
Minimum Requirements -
* Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited University

AJM was originally founded as a distributor of commercial paper, plastic and foil packaging products and related cleaning, janitorial and order processing supplies and equipment by three (3) Detroit area brothers operating out of a small warehouse in Detroit’s Eastern Market.
