JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs a variety of duties necessary to ensure compliance with AAR, customer and internal regulations for both Freight and Transit businesses. Will work with various departments and teams within the facility to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
* Work under direction of Quality Manager to support:
+ New product development to include contact with customer quality counterparts and create, update and provide required documentation throughout FAI process.
+ Execution of internal audits, including maintaining audit schedule, tracking completion, creating and closing out audit findings and determining the proper corrective or preventative actions.
+ Management of the corrective action system to include evaluation of customer complaints, coordination with teams to perform root cause analysis and ensure timely resolution of corrective actions.
+ Maintenance of the Quality Management System to include establishment, review and improvement of standards, policies, procedures and other controlled documentation.
+ Represent quality department in cross-functional team meetings.
* Work under direction of Process Control Manager to support:
+ Dimensional evaluations of products using a variety of methods to include calipers, CMM probing and laser scanning.
+ Data collection and analysis as needed by the process control team.
+ Performance of sample room activities to include product sampling and evaluations as necessary to qualify new products, approve sample products and adhere to AAR required testing schedules.
* Coordinate Quality documentation for Transit shipments:
+ Ensure that required documents are issued by responsible areas timely.
+ Compile and review information to be sent to customers.
+ Submit History Books to customers using specified means (e-mail, portal, etc).
MUST HAVE
* Minimum of four-year degree required; preferably in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Excellent computer skills, especially data analysis.
* Excellent communication and people skills, including the ability to lead small and large group meetings and cross-functional teams.
PREFERRED
* CQA and/or CQE certification.
* Experience in engineering drawing and/or metrology systems (or equivalent CAD experience).

Your Responsibilities as an Excavation Operator
* Travel to an assigned work site to perform vacuum excavation, which involves soil extraction through a vacuum using pressurized water or air to break ground
* Responsible for successful vacuum excavation which exposes utilities for design and excavation purposes
* Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
* Use a company provided laptop to detail the project
* Perform various hydro excavation activities near utilities, including core drilling, shoveling, backfilling, and construction labor
This position requires you to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, all year round.
These are full-time positions where overtime is required.
We are currently hiring throughout the Capital Region, NY area.
These are daytime, full-time positions, and some overtime may be necessary.
Training will be provided and paid for.
No industry experience is necessary.
