R&D Design and Testing Intern

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:


* Work with BAC's R&D Design & Testing team to support laboratory and testing facility improvement initiatives


* Support the design, build, and commissioning of laboratory and test infrastructure


* Create and update CAD models, layouts, drawings, and project documentation


* Assist with equipment installation, testing, troubleshooting, and startup activities


* Collect, analyze, and report project and operational data to support engineering decisions


* Support facility improvement and continuous improvement projects across multiple engineering programs

 

QUALIFICATIONS:


* Majoring in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Industrial, or Materials preferred)


* Juniors, Seniors, or MS students preferred


* Comfortable working in hands-on laboratory/testing environment and using shop and power tools


* Experience with 2D and 3D CAD required; experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred but not required


* Strong interest in facilities, laboratory infrastructure, continuous improvement, or manufacturing systems


* Proficient in Excel; advanced knowledge of Excel VBA, Matlab, or similar programming language preferred

 

BAC Hiring Compensation Range $22 - $28 per hour. 

BAC provides additional earnings in the form of overtime as applicable under law.
