Quality Assurance Specialist

Maximus is currently hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist to support the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).

Maximus conducts conflict-free assessments for adults who have intellectual and development disabilities on behalf of the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).

Maximus Assessors use the Coordinated Assessment System (CAS) comprehensive assessment tool to identify the strengths, interests, and needs of these children and youth, information that assists Care Coordination Organizations (CCO) in their person-centered care planning.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will help ensure quality and consistency across the CAS assessment program by conducting audits and internal observations, investigating complaints, developing work instructions, facilitating new hire and ad hoc training, and providing one-on-one quality assurance support to assessors.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with the IDD population combined with quality assurance experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to stay organized, adaptable, and effective in a fast-paced environment.

This is a remote position requiring occasional travel for in-person training, meetings, and other business needs as required.
