Weekend Dishwasher/Server

Pines Village Retirement Communities is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and flexible individual to join our Dining Services team as a Part-Time Weekend Dishwasher / Server.

This position will primarily be responsible for dishwashing, kitchen sanitation, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized dining environment.

The ideal candidate must be available to work weekends and willing to assist with serving responsibilities when additional coverage is needed.

In addition to regularly scheduled dishwashing shifts, this individual will have opportunities to pick up open serving shifts or provide coverage for other Dining Services team members as needed.

Essential Job Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Dishwashing & Kitchen Sanitation Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to properly clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary dishwashing area in accordance with established procedures and health department regulations.

Monitor and document dishwashing machine temperatures and report equipment concerns to management.

Sort, rinse, wash, and properly store dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies.

Assist with clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing area.

Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dishwashing areas, including sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and removing trash.

Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

Assist kitchen and dining staff with additional cleaning and operational responsibilities as assigned.

Secondary Responsibilities Dining Room / Serving Provide serving coverage when scheduled or as needed due to staffing shortages, employee absences, or open shifts.

Greet residents and guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.

Assist with dining room setup, table settings, meal service, and cleanup.

Take and serve meal orders accurately while accommodating resident preferences and dietary requirements.

Provide beverage service, clear tables, and maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment.

Assist with meal delivery, special events, and other dining services as needed.

Work collaboratively with the Dining Services team to ensure residents receive timely, attentive, and high-quality service.

Qualifications & Requirements Must be at least 16 years of age.

Must be available to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays as scheduled.

Must be willing and able to perform dishwashing duties as the primary responsibility of the position.

Must be flexible and willing to pick up open serving shifts or assist with serving responsibilities as needed.

Previous dishwashing, food service, restaurant, or serving experience preferred but not required.
