ABOUT THE ROLE

Amsted Automotive's TransForm Automotive Shelby Twp division, is is looking for Maintenance Technician Assistants, 3rd shift 11pm - 7am + 15% shift premium, who will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Technician in machine maintenance, building maintenance and general maintenance functions as directed.

As a Maintenance Technician Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced maintenance professionals to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment that powers our manufacturing facility.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 


* Learn and assist in maintaining the equipment that keeps our manufacturing operation running.


* Work alongside experienced Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot and repair machinery and facility systems.


* Complete preventive maintenance tasks to help improve equipment performance and reliability.


* Assist with press setups, machine adjustments, and continuous improvement projects.


* Operate forklifts and man lifts safely after receiving appropriate training.


* Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout practices.


* Document maintenance activities using work orders and maintenance systems.


* Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and help identify ways to improve efficiency.


* Work closely with production and maintenance teams to meet plant goals.


* Take on new challenges and develop valuable hands-on maintenance skills in a manufacturing environment.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED 


* High school diploma or GED required


* Some college is preferred, or education in the skilled trades, or pursuit of coursework in mechanical, industrial, or electrical Maintenance


* 2 years of experience in Plant Maintenance desired
