What you'll achieve

As a Software Engineer, you will help develop and enhance the software platforms that support Dell Technologies' manufacturing test environments for industry-leading AI Server and Storage solutions.

Working within the Global Test Engineering (GTE) organization, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of software systems that ensure product quality, reliability, and manufacturing excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to work on real-world engineering challenges, collaborate with experienced software and test engineers, and build expertise in automation, system integration, and next-generation software solutions that support Dell's AI infrastructure portfolio.

You will:


* Participate in the design, development, testing, and support of software applications and automation solutions used in manufacturing test environments.


* Develop and maintain software components, services, and tools that improve system functionality, performance, and reliability.


* Build automated testing solutions and software validation capabilities to enhance product quality and engineering efficiency.


* Collaborate with software, product, manufacturing, and test engineering teams to understand requirements and implement effective technical solutions.


* Contribute to software architecture discussions and design reviews while learning and applying engineering best practices.


* Develop and execute automated and manual test solutions to validate software functionality and system behaviour.


* Troubleshoot software defects, integration issues, and system failures, working across software, hardware, firmware, and networking domains.


* Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and quality initiatives to ensure robust and maintainable software solutions.


* Work within Agile development teams, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and continuous improvement activities.


* Improve software quality through increased test automation, enhanced test coverage, and better observability of software systems.


* Learn and apply modern development approaches, including AI-assisted engineering tools, intelligent automation, and emerging software technologies.


* Contribute to continuous integration, continuous testing, and software delivery practices.


* Create and maintain technical documentation including test plans, software designs, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.


* Collaborate with senior engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business and engineering objectives.
