Intern, NHOPS Finance - Singapore - 6 months

Introduction

Kick-start your finance career with a six-month internship starting in February, supporting new hotel openings across South East Asia, Korea and Japan.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to pre-opening budgets, financial reporting, project coordination and process improvement while working alongside hotel finance leaders and regional stakeholders.

It’s a great opportunity to build practical finance experience and see first-hand what goes into successfully opening a new hotel.

Your day to day


* Help coordinate regular meetings with the finance and leadership teams of new-opening hotels, capturing key discussions and following up on agreed actions.


* Create and maintain dashboards that track each hotel’s pre-opening progress, key milestones and critical financial information.


* Support the preparation of pre-opening budgets and work with hotel teams to monitor monthly budget performance.


* Assist with accounts receivable collection and other finance-related administrative activities.


* Contribute to projects that improve and standardise pre-opening finance processes, tools, controls and ways of working.

What we need from you


* Currently completing an undergraduate degree in Accountancy, Business Management, Hospitality Management or another relevant discipline.


* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.


* Good written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with different stakeholders and provide clear progress updates.


* Strong attention to detail, organisation and the ability to manage assigned projects independently.


* A proactive approach, willingness to learn and confidence in suggesting new or more effective ways of working.
