Resource Development Director

Department: Resource Development Job Title: Resource Development Director Reports to: Chief Executive Officer The Organization: Homeward Bound is the leading nonprofit organization in Buncombe County focused on preventing and ending homelessness using the best practice Prioritizing Home model.

We work collaboratively with community partners and have a proven track record of helping individuals and families achieve housing stability.

Since 2006, Homeward Bound has moved more than 2,800+ people off the streets, out of cars, camps, and shelters and into permanent housing.

Position: The Resource Development Director provides strategic leadership for Homeward Bound's resource development and communications functions.

This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies that grow and diversify organizational revenue, strengthen relationships with donors and community partners, and advance the organization's mission and public visibility.

The Director oversees all aspects of fundraising, donor engagement and stewardship, communications, marketing, and community relations, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and long-term sustainability.

The position also provides leadership and direction to the Resource Development team, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture grounded in the organization's mission and values.

Schedule and compensation: This is a full-time, salary exempt position.

This is a benefit eligible position.

Compensation range beginning at $75,000 annually.
