Access Control Officer (Clearance Sponsorship) TX

The Access Control Officer supports secure site operations by controlling access to restricted areas, verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and patrolling assigned areas.

This role serves employees and visitors, providing professional customer service while upholding site security protocols.

Officers help prevent unauthorized entry and the removal of prohibited or restricted items, protecting the secure environment the mission depends on.

The position is full-time and non-exempt.

It requires a TS/SCI clearance, which CenCore will sponsor for selected candidates who do not currently hold one, and a Full Scope polygraph.

Employment is contingent on obtaining and maintaining that clearance.

The position also depends on completing the Clearance Allocation process (including adjudication), HR physical and background screening, and successful completion of training, which is paid.

A start date depends on completion of these steps.

Key Responsibilities Control employee and visitor access to restricted areas by verifying credentials and authorizations.Prevent unauthorized entry and the removal of prohibited or restricted items from the premises.Patrol assigned areas of the site to deter, detect, and promptly report unauthorized activity and security concerns.Monitor entry and exit activity and maintain continuous surveillance of assigned areas, reporting issues or irregular activity promptly.Provide high-quality customer service to employees and visitors while maintaining site security protocols.Apply access control procedures and security protocols accurately and consistently throughout each assigned shift.Communicate clearly and professionally in all interactions, both verbal and nonverbal.
