Job Description Summary

This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of functions including, but not limited to, the following:


* Take and process customer orders for ready-mixed concrete


* Schedule orders and dispatch trucks


* Communicate with customers and provide exceptional customer service


* Collaborate with all departments


* Organize and send requested reports and/or order information to customers


* Keep the Customer Service/Dispatch Manager and sales department informed of problems or concerns throughout the day that may require their knowledge or attention


* Communicate directly with the Customer Service/Dispatch Manager regarding any available delivery slots when the schedule books up


* Other duties as assigned

Requirements


* Candidate must be energetic and customer friendly with the ability to work in a fast paced team atmosphere that focuses around the customer in the concrete & construction industry.


* Strong computer skills


* Strong attention to detail


* Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision


* Demonstrate good performance, safety and attendance


* Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime and weekends/holidays, especially during the summer season


* Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Dispatchers, Drivers and other employees


* Demonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT and all other company or governmental state rules and regulations.


* Pre employment screenings are required.


* Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required

Education/Experience


* High school graduate or equivalent


* Customer service experience


* Dispatch experience is preferred


* Readymix experience is preferred
