Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for loading and unloading of materials in the manufacturing facility.

Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors or other handling equipment to move material to and from specified areas of the facility.

Maintains production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished product.

Job Responsibilities



* Load, unload, move, and stage materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually


* Maintains inventory by identifying and placing materials and/or supplies in stock


* Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders


* Maintains in-process inventory at workstations by delivering and opening materials and supplies as needed


* Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products


* Documents product shipment by recording units shipped


* Identify bundle discrepancies, damages and repack efforts before staging to ensure quality in packing


* Records scrap


* Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas


* Maintain accurate records of materials received, transferred, and shipped


* Maintains material handling equipment by completing pre-inspections and recommending necessary repairs to maintenance


* Responsible for personal safety and the safety of coworkers in the area while operating equipment


* Follows all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and housekeeping


* Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business

Job Requirements



* 1+ year of Forklift experience


* Basic reading and math skills.

Must be able to follow directions


* Manual dexterity required for operating machinery


* Lift, push or pull up to 50 Lbs


* May be expose to inclement weather excessive heat or excessive cold.
