Columbia Orthopaedic Group (COG) is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused Insurance Verification Specialist to join our First Impressions team! Our First Impressions team plays an important role in creating a positive patient experience.

As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you'll help ensure patients have accurate insurance information on file, understand their coverage, and are prepared for their upcoming appointments.

If you enjoy problem-solving, working with a great team, and making a difference behind the scenes, we'd love to meet you! What You'll Do Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage information prior to appointments and procedures.

Communicate with insurance companies to confirm coverage and authorization requirements.

Accurately enter and maintain patient insurance information in our electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Identify and resolve insurance discrepancies to help prevent delays in patient care.

Assist patients with questions related to insurance coverage and verification.

Collaborate with scheduling, clinical, and billing teams to ensure insurance requirements are met.

Follow payer guidelines, organizational policies, and patient confidentiality requirements.

Support other departmental needs as assigned.
