Title: Temporary Mainframe Programmer Duration: 3 months, subject to extension.

Rate of Pay: $56.88 per hour FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Employer: Joint Industry Board of the Electrical Industry Reports to: Senior IT Manager of Mainframe Systems, and IT Manager, Mainframe Systems Location: Flushing, NY Onsite Monday through Friday Vacancy: 1 JOB DESCRIPTION The Joint Industry Board is seeking an experienced IT professional to develop programs and reports in an IBM mainframe systems environment, perform troubleshooting, validation, and data analysis, in addition to the following: Develop and maintain programs and reports in IBM mainframe VSE system environments to build new features and create new servicesPerform troubleshooting, system testing validation and data analysisTranslate detailed requirements into functional system designsDiagnose and debug software and/or data problems and perform problem resolutionAssist with migration and optimization of mainframe applications and dataCreate secure code and document all programs to facilitate future maintenance by othersFollow privacy and confidentiality best practices while dealing with sensitive Personal Identifiable Information (PII)Create or re-create and validate mainframe reports using a combination of programming and/or reporting toolsEnsure application documents comply with IT Policies, Procedures, Authorization and Controls prior to promotion to any production environment Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, supervisors, other IT teams, and employees from other departmentsPerform other duties and special assignments assigned by your supervisor.
