Diesel Technician Specialist (Class A)

Senior Diesel Technician | $38$42/hr Guaranteed Hourly, No Flat Rate | Employee-Owned Roanoke, VA | Full-Time This position is for experienced, advanced-level diesel technicians only.

We're an employee-owned (ESOP) transportation company running about 225 trucks across flatbed, dry van, and moving operations.

We're hiring an experienced senior-level diesel technician to be a go-to diagnostic expert in our shop and to help develop the next generation of techs.

What You'll Earn $38$42 per hour, guaranteed hourly pay with no flat rate Employee ownership through our ESOP, a retirement benefit funded by the company at no cost to you 401(k) retirement plan Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Paid vacation and holidays Your Schedule MondayFriday, weekends as needed What You'll Do Lead diagnostics and repairs on our heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment: engines, aftertreatment and emissions, electrical, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC, brakes, and suspension Use OEM diagnostic software and scan tools to find and fix complex issues, not just replace parts Handle major component repairs and the jobs others can't solve Mentor and train junior technicians as part of building a stronger shop Keep accurate repair records and work closely with fleet management on uptime What You Bring Senior-level diesel technician experience with demonstrated advanced diagnostic and repair capabilities 5+ years of heavy-duty diesel experience, with dealership or fleet experience preferred Advanced electrical and ECM diagnostic skills Experience with aftertreatment systems (DPF, SCR, EGR) Proficiency with diagnostic software (Freightliner, Volvo/Mack, Cummins INSITE, Detroit DiagnosticLink, PACCAR, or similar) Your own professional tools ASE certifications required Class A CDL preferred or willingness to obtain one Why Techs Come Here No flat rate.

Physical Requirements: Lift up to 75 lbs; stand, bend, crawl, climb, and work in varying shop and weather conditions; safely operate company vehicles and equipment.
