Retail Network Staffing Summer Intern

Have you ever wondered how organizations determine the right staffing levels to support customer service, business growth, and operational efficiency? Are you interested in workforce planning, business analytics, operations, and using data to solve real business challenges?

As a Retail Network Staffing Summer Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting Rockland Trust's Retail Staffing team and helping optimize staffing strategies across the branch network.

You'll work alongside experienced retail leaders and staffing professionals to analyze workforce data, evaluate staffing needs, develop recommendations, and support strategic initiatives that help branches deliver exceptional customer experiences.

As part of the Retail Staffing team, you'll help support staffing decisions that enable our colleagues to serve customers effectively while ensuring branches are positioned for success.

This internship offers a hybrid work environment, providing opportunities to collaborate in person with retail leadership. 

 

In addition to your individual responsibilities, interns will participate in collaborative summer projects with fellow interns.

What You'll Do

Gain Exposure to Workforce Planning & Staffing Strategy

As a Retail Network Staffing Summer Intern, you'll support projects focused on staffing analysis, branch workforce planning, and operational efficiency.

You'll gain valuable experience using data to evaluate staffing models and make recommendations that support the Bank's retail network.

Key Responsibilities

You will:


* Participate in and assist with coordination of Retail Banking Intern project meetings.


* Support responsibilities related to assisting the Retail Banking Interns throughout the summer program.


* Gather data and perform analysis to support staffing recommendations and workforce planning initiatives.


* Assist in preparing staffing presentations, reports, and recommendations.


* Conduct detailed branch staffing reviews and operational analysis.


* Help develop staffing review guidelines and "what-if" scenario planning tools for branch staffing assessments.


* Work with staffing models to support branch support team assignments.


* Assist with creating and maintaining scorecards measuring branch adherence to staffing models.


* Support special projects and initiatives identified by the Retail Staffing & Strategy Manager.


* Participate in collaborative summer projects with fellow interns.
