IT Prin Arch - DevOps

We are seeking a Principal DevOps Architect to provide technical leadership across enterprise DevOps, cloud architecture, containerization, software delivery, and automation.

This role will establish architecture and engineering best practices, guide complex technology initiatives, and partner with development, cloud, security, and operational teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions supporting enterprise and government programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Define and implement DevOps and Containerization best practices, software release pipelines, and automation to be leveraged across the enterprise.

- Serve as a thought leader in assessing business needs and current industry best practices and solutions, and matching them to further business goals.

- Serve as a technical lead for training and instilling best practices in the DevOps Engineering team, promoting team competencies and excellence.
- Define, develop, and implement the configuration management system which supports the enterprise software development life cycle (SDLC).

- Manage source code within the Version Control System (i.e.

branching, sync, merge); compile, assemble, and package software from source code, and mentor less senior team members in this discipline.

- Work with Cloud Services to perform and validate installations/upgrades/deployments/containers, enabling team self sufficiency in every case.

- Develop automation scripts for build, deployment, and versioning activities.

- Research and resolve complex technical problems associated with the version control and continuous integration systems.
