Position Details


* Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)


* Employment Type: Full-Time


* Location: Tice Valley Post Acute


* Pay Rate: $55.00-$60.00 per hour, DOE

Responsibilities


* Evaluate residents' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.


* Provide occupational therapy services to improve residents' strength, mobility, coordination, and independence with daily activities.


* Implement therapeutic interventions based on residents' individual needs and care plans.


* Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, and other functional tasks.


* Assess and address safety, mobility, and environmental needs.


* Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.


* Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and outcomes accurately and timely.


* Collaborate with physicians, nurses, CNAs, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.


* Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, exercises, and strategies to support independence.


* Recommend adaptive equipment and assistive devices when appropriate.


* Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings.


* Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations.


* Promote resident dignity, safety, independence, and overall quality of life.


* Perform other occupational therapy-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications


* Current and valid California Occupational Therapist license.


* Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.


* Previous skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred.


* Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


* Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
