Pile Driver Operator

Murray Logan Construction is seeking an experienced Pile Driver Operator to safely operate pile-driving and related heavy equipment used in the construction of foundations, bridges, marine structures, and other heavy civil projects.

* Previous experience operating pile-driving equipment or similar heavy construction equipment preferred.


* Experience in heavy civil, bridge, marine, foundation, or pile-driving construction strongly preferred.


* Knowledge of safe heavy-equipment operating practices.


* Ability to understand and respond appropriately to standard construction hand signals and radio communications.


* Ability to recognize unsafe conditions and take appropriate action.


* Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.


* Dependable attendance and ability to report to varying project locations.


* Must be able to work outdoors in changing weather and jobsite conditions.


* Valid driver's license may be required depending on job assignment.


* NCCCO or other crane/operator certification may be required when operating equipment for which certification is legally or contractually required.

The employee frequently is required to stand, (for up to 8 eight hours), walk (occasionally on rough terrain/in varying weather conditions), climb, use manual dexterity to operate tools used in the course of work, hear sufficient to hear conversations in person, and via telephone and radio, and vision sufficient for distance sight and to read diagrams, computer screens, manual reports, rules, regulations, laws, and plans.

The employee is occasionally required to reach, push, and pull with hands and arms.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Physical dexterity may involve stretching, proper placement of legs, and use of arms and hands in repetitive motions.
