Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Designer

We are seeking an Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Designer with experience in Instrumentation and Controls and familiarity with Electrical systems design for Refinery and Oil and Gas Industries.

The ideal candidate will have experience with I&C design principles and practices, along with electrical design experience that enables effective support across both disciplines.

The position involves contributing to both single-discipline and multi-disciplinary projects, collaborating closely with engineers.

The position requires the candidate to work independently, and you may be asked to lead and direct other I&E designers, and support development of project scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.

Compensation: $50-$60

*Anticipated annual salary may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications and internal peer equity.  The pay range listed for this position is based on the anticipated base compensation at the time of the posting. 

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with three days in our Ferndale, WA office Tuesday through Thursday and two days working from home.

Experience developing electrical design and construction packages is preferred.


* Develop instrumentation deliverables including Instrument Indexes, I/O Lists, loop diagrams, conduit and wiring drawings, schematics, termination drawings, installation details, and instrument location plans.


* Experience with developing electrical deliverables including area classification drawings, single-line diagrams, grounding plans, conduit and cable routing, cable and conduit schedules, UPS systems, heat tracing equipment and systems, panel schedules, lighting plans, underground electrical plans, and duct bank details is desirable.


* Assemble drawing and construction work packages for engineering review and approval.


* Coordinate Instrumentation and Electrical design requirements across disciplines and project deliverables.
