Position Summary: The Mentor Coach is responsible for fostering the progress of children's school readiness through high quality teacher practices and curriculum fidelity.

This includes observation, coaching, and training of infant, toddler, preschool, and prekindergarten educators, using research-based adult learning principles.

Instructional Coaching & Teacher Support Build collaborative relationships with teachers to assess needs, establish goals, and develop action plans.Observe and document classroom interactions and teaching practices to provide coaching, support strategies, and guidance to refine and improve instruction.Demonstrate effective teaching practices that promote teacher understanding and application of developmentally appropriate practices.Provide respectful, constructive feedback while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Data Analysis & Continuous Quality Improvement Collect, analyze, and utilize data to determine the needs and progress of teachers, classrooms, and programs.Use data-informed strategies to support instructional improvement and strengthen program outcomes.Complete monthly reports and required documentation accurately and within established timelines.

Early Childhood Education Expertise & Professional Development Apply knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices, adult learning principles, and early childhood education approaches to support effective teaching practices.Utilize knowledge of Office of Head Start frameworks, including Effective Everyday Practice and Child Development and Early Learning, to promote high-quality educational experiences.Organize, develop, and facilitate high-impact professional development opportunities for teachers.Seek support from other professionals and maintain current knowledge of best practices in the field.
