Work You'll Do

As a Project Integration Engineer III on the project you will collaborate closely with both military and civilian personnel to develop and implement IO strategies that advance the mission objectives and operational readiness of the organization.

The IO Planner draws on a deep understanding of Information-Related Capabilities (IRCs)-including Psychological Operations (PSYOP), Military Deception (MILDEC), Electronic Warfare (EW), and cyber operations-to shape the information environment, influence adversary perceptions, and protect friendly force intentions.

Key Responsibilities


* Information Operations Planning:
Design, coordinate, and synchronize comprehensive IO plans that integrate IRCs in support of operational and strategic objectives within the assigned AOR.



* Example: Develop an IO campaign to counter adversary disinformation during joint exercises, leveraging PSYOP messaging and MILDEC overlays.

Collaboration & Coordination:
Work cross-functionally with commanders, staff, intelligence, communications, cyber, and civilian subject matter experts to ensure IO plans are relevant, realistic, and fully integrated into broader operational frameworks.

Assessment & Analysis:
Continuously assess the operational environment, analyze adversary IO capabilities and intentions, and identify opportunities and vulnerabilities for the effective employment of IRCs.


* Example: Conduct an IO risk analysis against potential cyber-enabled information threats during a crisis response operation.

Information Environment Monitoring:
Maintain persistent awareness of the information and electromagnetic environment, providing timely updates and recommendations to leadership.

Scenario Development & Training:
Support exercise and contingency scenario development, ensuring the realistic incorporation of IO considerations.

Provide IO training and guidance to operational staff when required.


* Example: Design tabletop exercises illustrating coordinated MILDEC and EW operations to disrupt adversary command cycles.

Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare detailed IO plans, concept of operations (CONOPS), briefings, after-action reviews, and lessons learned reports to inform decision-making and improve future operations.
