Your tasks and responsibilities:



* You will work with us to develop AI agents and AI-based tools which support the development of interoperability features of Siemens Healthineers products


* You support the implementation and maintenance of a specialized agentic engineering harness for the tool development and research the newest agentic software engineering developments and educate the team about the capabilities


* You help us build prototypes using large language models and generative AI technologies


* You collaborate with the team to develop retrieval-augmented generation solutions based on internal knowledge sources and integrate AI services and data sources via APIs


* You support the testing, evaluation, and documentation of AI solutions


* You contribute to the introduction of new AI technologies and development standards and will also work with the team to help manage source code and project documentation using GitHub and comparable platforms

Your qualifications and experience:



* You are currentlypursuing a university degree in Medical Informatics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification relevant to the responsibilities outlined above


* You have experience with AI coding agents and with GitHub, preferably GitHub Copilot with VS Code


* You have worked with agentic software engineering frameworks like OpenSpec, Spec Kit, or BMAD


* You have good knowledge with developing AI agents, AI-based applications, or machine learning solutions, as well as a basic understanding of large language models, embeddings, and vector databases


* Ideally, you are familiar with retrieval-augmented generation and semantic search


* You are skilled in Python, SQL, or comparable programming languages, software architecture concepts, and cyber security risks of AI agents is an advantage
