Work you'll do/Responsibilities


* Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot daily and nightly mainframe batch jobs using JCL, ensuring timely completion within service-level windows.


* Provide production support for mainframe applications by triaging incidents, identifying root causes, and resolving issues.


* Maintain and enhance COBOL programs to correct defects, implement small changes, and support business needs.


* Monitor DB2 batch processing, investigate data issues, and restart or rerun failed jobs using scheduling tools such as Control-M, CA7, or equivalent.


* Document runbooks, known issues, and resolution steps; collaborate with application, database, and infrastructure teams to address recurring issues.


* Support critical month-, quarter-, and year-end batch cycles, participate in change and release activities, and provide on-call or off-hours support as needed.
