POSITION SUMMARY: Manage, track, and administer medicine to residents as prescribed, and ordered by their medical providers.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITY: Manage, track, and administer medicine and prescribed medical care for residents.

Full physical care for residents maintains resident elimination.Responsible for completion of daily assignment.Transports, or walks with, residents to/from activities, as needed.Reports/documents all procedures, care, reactions, and other pertinent resident information, as needed.Assumes own responsibility to demonstrate good body mechanics and proper use of gait belt for lifting or transferring residents.

Attends offered in-services on good body mechanics.Is responsible for following safe practices in all areas of work.Is required to perform any other duties or assume any other responsibilities as directed by department head or supervisor, or as is necessary to perform this job.Participates in in-service programs and maintains continuing education requirements.

Ability to anticipate the needs of residents.Must treat resident information in a confidential manner.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Maintains CPR certification and First Aid training specific to adults.Previous experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
