Fork Lift Driver

Position Summary Bright Wood is continuously looking for dependable, safety focused individuals to join our production team as Forklift Drivers.

Production Forklift Drivers play an important role in keeping our manufacturing operations moving safely and efficiently.

This position is responsible for operating powered industrial equipment to move raw materials, work in process, and finished products throughout production and designated storage areas.

Previous forklift or manufacturing experience is preferred but may not be required for all openings.

Bright Wood provides training and requires employees to successfully complete applicable forklift training and authorization before independently operating equipment.

This is an evergreen job posting, which means we accept applications on an ongoing basis for current and future Production Forklift Driver openings.

What You Will Do Responsibilities may include: Safely operate forklifts and other authorized material handling equipment Transport raw materials, work in process, and finished products throughout production and storage areas Load, unload, stack, stage, and organize materials as directed Supply production areas with materials to support continuous operations Remove completed products and materials from production areas Perform required pre shift equipment inspections and report equipment concerns or unsafe conditions Follow designated travel routes, pedestrian controls, speed requirements, and other forklift safety procedures Maintain awareness of pedestrians, equipment, and changing conditions within production areas Verify materials and loads are properly positioned and secure before transport Assist with inventory movement and material organization as needed Maintain clean and organized work and travel areas Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements Immediately report incidents, near misses, property damage, equipment damage, and safety concerns Communicate effectively with production employees, Leads, Supervisors, and other Forklift Drivers Perform production or material handling duties as assigned What We Are Looking For Successful Production Forklift Drivers are individuals who: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety Are dependable and arrive to work on time and ready to work Maintain situational awareness while operating equipment Are comfortable working around pedestrians, production equipment, and other powered industrial equipment Can follow established operating procedures and safety requirements Can communicate effectively with coworkers and leadership Are able to work independently while supporting the needs of the production team Are willing to learn and successfully complete required forklift training Understand that safe operation takes priority over speed or production demands Previous forklift, warehouse, lumber, wood products, or manufacturing experience is preferre...
