The YMCA of the North Shore partners with Salem Public Schools to provide engaging, hands-on visual arts enrichment opportunities for young learners.

We're looking for creative, enthusiastic instructors who enjoy helping children explore their artistic interests, express themselves, and build confidence through art.

In this role, you'll lead age-appropriate visual arts activities in a supportive and inclusive environment, encouraging children to experiment with different materials, develop new skills, and let their imaginations shine.

Program Schedule


* Tuesdays: Pre-K students


* Thursdays and Fridays: Elementary school students


* Approximately 8-10 hours per week

In this role, you will:


* Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate visual arts activities for Pre-K and elementary school students.


* Encourage creativity, self-expression, and exploration through a variety of art projects and materials.


* Create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every child feels encouraged to participate.


* Adapt activities to meet children's different ages, abilities, and interests.


* Collaborate with YMCA and Salem Public Schools staff to support a positive enrichment experience.


* Maintain a safe environment and actively supervise participants.

* Have experience working with children in a school, childcare, or youth program setting preferred.
