NHC HealthCare Pulaski is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team! This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our patients, visitors, and Partners.

The ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing quality service in a healthcare environment.
Position Responsibilities


* Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the center's buildings, equipment, and grounds.


* Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and associated costs.


* Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to minimize disruptions to patient care.


* Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to identify and address maintenance and repair needs.


* Assist with repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance projects.


* Follow applicable safety regulations, local codes, and center policies.


* Communicate professionally and effectively with Partners, patients, and family members.


* Participate in on-call duties for after-hours maintenance needs.


* Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Administrator.

Qualifications


* High school diploma or technical school education required.


* Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical manuals and instructions.


* Knowledge of general building maintenance, repair procedures, and safety regulations.


* Familiarity with local building codes and ordinances.


* Ability to plan and complete repair, installation, and maintenance projects.


* Basic knowledge of recordkeeping and cost estimating.


* HVAC experience preferred but not required.


* Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


* Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call assignments.
