Electrical Helper

Industrial Electrical Helper Papermill Shutdown - South Carolina Begin Date: November 2, 2026 Helper Pay: based on experience Per Diem: $120/ 7-days (must live 50+ miles from the site to be eligible and multiple forms of documented proof required) Duration: Approximately 8-12 weeks or longer Schedule: 5 x 10s Responsibilities: Description: · Assist journeyman electricians with installing, routing, and supporting conduit, cable tray, wire, and electrical equipment in industrial facilities.

· Measure, cut, bend, and install conduit under supervision using approved tools and methods.

· Pull, label, terminate, and test conductors and control wiring as directed, following drawings and specifications.

· Assist with installing and maintaining motors, lighting, panels, junction boxes, grounding systems, and related electrical components.

· Read basic electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and material lists to support assigned work.

· Use hand tools, power tools, meters, lifts, and ladders safely and maintain tools and materials in good condition.

· Identify common industrial electrical materials and communicate material or installation needs to the journeyman or foreman.

· Perform basic troubleshooting and continuity checks under supervision and promptly report unsafe conditions or installation issues.

· Follow lockout/tagout, energized-work, fall-protection, housekeeping, and site-specific safety procedures.

Execute various minor construction projects as required Complete variety of duties which may often change as project completion needs require.

Willingness and ability to work various shifts and overtime on short notice, to meet businesses' needs, and able to work outdoors in all the elements Maintain equipment & clean around workstations Interface with supervisor &/or manager to give progress updates as required Closely follow instructions from Journeyman or Foreman in a variety of tasks and supporting activity, while working within standards of accuracy, repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.

Work in tight spaces - physically able to climb up and down safely in proximity of manufacturing and process equipment.

Adhere to the safety practices required by T E C Industrials and its customers.

Elevated work > 4' - fall protection required Experience: Experience as an industrial electrical helper preferred but not required Experience performing Industrial Projects (Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Heavy Industrial) 1-2 years experience in an industrial work environment preferred but not required Education: 1 - 2 years of completed classes in an accredited industrial or electrical program preferred Requirements: Arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift Follow all safety rules and standards for the company and for the site Understand and follow Instructions from the direct supervisor Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a c...
