Esthetician/Aesthetician Instructor

Position Summary The Esthetician Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality classroom, laboratory, and hands-on clinical instruction to students enrolled in Milan Institute's Esthetician program.

This position prepares students for successful careers in the esthetics industry by teaching the technical knowledge, practical skills, safety and sanitation standards, professional behaviors, and customer-service skills required of entry-level estheticians.

The Esthetician Instructor also supports students in meeting program completion requirements and preparing for applicable state licensure examinations.

Essential Job Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Delivery Deliver classroom, laboratory, and hands-on clinical instruction in accordance with the approved curriculum, lesson plans, course objectives, and established academic schedules.Provide instruction in applicable esthetics topics, which may include: Skin anatomy and physiologySkin analysis and consultationSkin types and conditionsFacial treatments and protocolsCleansing and exfoliation techniquesFacial massageMasks and treatment productsHair removal and waxingMakeup applicationLash and brow servicesBasic electrical modalities and esthetic equipmentProduct ingredients and product knowledgeInfection control, sanitation, and disinfectionState laws, regulations, and professional standardsClient safety and contraindicationsProfessional ethics and boundariesClient consultation and documentationRetail and product recommendationsCustomer service and client retentionProfessional image and workplace expectationsBusiness and career-readiness skillsState licensure examination preparation Demonstrate esthetic procedures and techniques using appropriate safety and sanitation practices.Connect classroom theory to practical application and real-world esthetics scenarios.Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to support different learning styles and student needs.Maintain current knowledge of esthetics techniques, products, equipment, industry trends, and professional practices.Ensure instruction remains within the curriculum and applicable scope-of-practice requirements.

Hands-On & Student Clinic Instruction Supervise students performing esthetic services in laboratory and student clinic environments.Demonstrate proper procedures before students perform new or unfamiliar techniques.Observe student services and provide immediate coaching and corrective instruction when necessary.Ensure students follow required sanitation, disinfection, infection-control, and safety procedures.Ensure students properly prepare and maintain treatment rooms, workstations, equipment, implements, and supplies.Monitor students' client consultations, skin analyses, service sel...
