THE ROLE The Fleet & Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of company vehicles, trailers, and landscape equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.

This is a hands-on role that supports daily field operations by minimizing downtime, maintaining safety compliance, and extending the life of company assets.

Work takes place in the shop and at outdoor jobsites, with field support for emergency breakdowns as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR Perform routine maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on company vehicles, trailers, and landscape equipment, including trucks, vans, mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, skid steers, compact loaders, and small engines.

Conduct preventative maintenance services to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.

SAFETY AND SHOP STANDARDS Identify safety concerns, perform corrective actions, and ensure all vehicles and equipment are safe and effective.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.

PARTS AND INVENTORY Manage parts, tools, fluids, and inventory, including tracking usage and recommending purchases.

FIELD SUPPORT AND COMMUNICATION Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide field support as needed.

Communicate effectively with the COO and field teams regarding equipment status, repairs, timelines, and preventative maintenance planning.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT Assist with developing and improving maintenance procedures, safety programs, and equipment management systems.

Perform other duties as assigned.
