Garage Door Installer

Position Summary Auburn Ridge is seeking a dependable and motivated Garage Door Installer to install, service, and repair garage doors, openers, and related components for residential and commercial customers.

This hands-on position involves working at construction sites, troubleshooting garage door systems, operating tools and equipment, and providing professional customer service.

What You'll Do Install new garage doors, openers, and related components.

Diagnose and repair issues with existing garage doors and openers.

Inspect job sites and determine the work needed for a safe, successful installation.

Operate hand and power tools, including drills and saws.

Troubleshoot mechanical and technical problems.

Communicate professionally with customers and address their questions or concerns.

Complete required installation forms and document repairs, installations, and inventory.

Load vehicles and verify that the necessary tools and parts are available for each job.

Maintain vehicle inventory and restock replacement parts and supplies.

Inspect completed installations and repairs for quality and safety.

Maintain a clean job site following installation.

Work collaboratively with other team members.

Complete other duties as assigned.

Schedule Monday through Friday Typical hours are 7:00 a.m.

to 3:30 p.m.

Hours may vary based on workload, service demands, and business needs.

Occasional overtime may be required.

Regular, reliable, in-person attendance is required.

What We're Looking For Previous experience in garage door installation, construction, or a related trade is preferred.

Experience using hand and power tools.

Ability to read blueprints and understand basic electrical and mechanical systems.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Basic ability to use tablets and software to document completed work.

Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Professional and dependable approach to working with customers and team members.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical and Work Requirements This is an active, hands-on position performed primarily in warehouse and construction environments.

The employee may be exposed to changing temperatures, dust, noise, moving equipment, and active work areas.

The job requires climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working at elevated heights.

Candidates must be able to: Frequently lift 50 to 100 pounds throughout the workday.

Transport heavy materials and climb ladders.

Perform physically demanding work in summer heat and winter cold.

Follow company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
