Production Foreman

The Production Foreman is responsible for leading employees, scheduling work activities, ensuring quality of workmanship, training and educating employees on safety guidelines, company policies, and production equipment.

Responsible for productivity and quality management.

This position reports to the Production Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Interview, train, and coach new employees.

Is actively engaged in solving problems as they arise.

Conducts new hire and annual performance reviews of employees.

Directs and supervises the work of multiple employees across multiple departments.

Follows production schedule and ensures that work is completed on time.

Is knowledgeable of the process and ensures all applicable standards and specifications are being met.

Documents and tracks production totals and fills out applicable forms and reports Works with Maintenance department to facilitate repair of equipment.

Ensures employees maintain a neat and orderly working environment.

Coordinates manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions.

Recommends measures to improve safety, production methods and quality of product.

Develops and implements plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.

Makes critical operational decisions with little or no direction.

Understands the importance of quality, quickly identifies and corrects issues related to quality.
