Choose the best place for your work - Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Even more flexibility? Mobile working from abroad is possible for up to 30 days a year under certain conditions and in selected countries.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

•You design and develop a flexible software-based simulation environment for medical imaging systems.

•You enable realistic simulation of system behavior, including fault and error scenarios, to accelerate development, validation, and testing activities.

•You integrate simulation capabilities into automated test environments and support hardware-independent development workflows.

•You shape a scalable simulation architecture that can be leveraged for engineering, customer education, and training purposes.

•You collaborate closely with architects, software developers, and test engineers in an agile, international environment to deliver high-quality solutions.

Your qualifications and experience:

•You hold a university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

•You bring many years of professional experience in software development, ideally within complex, distributed, or real-time systems.

•You have proven experience building simulation, emulation, virtualization, and are familiar with technologies such as CMake, .NET10, Angular, or comparable environments.

•You have practical experience with AI-assisted and agentic software development approaches, including tools such as GitHub Copilot, coding agents, or Agentic workflows.

•You apply modern software engineering practices and are experienced with technologies such as C#, C++, TypeScript, JavaScript, REST APIs, and concepts like BDD or DDD.

•You have a strong understanding of software architecture, interface design, interoperability, and testability principles.

•You ideally bring experience in image processing, medical imaging, or software development within regulated environments.
