A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:


* Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience.


* Present menus, explain food and beverage options, and recommend dishes based on guests’ preferences.


* Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar teams.


* Serve food and beverages professionally, ensuring presentation and service meet InterContinental’s luxury standards.


* Set up tables and ensure that the restaurant is clean, organized, and ready to welcome guests.


* Maintain excellent knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, daily specials, and promotions.


* Anticipate guests’ needs and respond promptly to requests to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.


* Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and handle concerns professionally, reporting any issues to the supervisor when necessary.


* Recognize VIP guests, returning guests, and IHG One Rewards members, providing personalized attention whenever possible.


* Process guest bills and payments accurately in accordance with established cashiering procedures.


* Coordinate closely with colleagues, supervisors, kitchen staff, and other departments to ensure smooth restaurant operations.


* Maintain awareness of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.


* Ensure service stations are clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift.


* Communicate guest feedback, special requests, and operational concerns to the relevant team members.


* Attend daily briefings, departmental meetings, and training sessions as required.


* Follow hotel policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and InterContinental brand standards.
