Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate PRN Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join our rehabilitation team.

This position offers ultimate scheduling flexibility, requiring coverage for on-call hours across both weekdays and weekends to meet patient care and evaluation needs.

Key Responsibilities


* Evaluate and Plan: Develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans and obtain necessary physician approvals.


* Deliver Care: Provide high-quality skilled occupational therapy services in accordance with physician orders.


* Supervise & Train: Oversee Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) in compliance with state regulations, and assist nursing staff with training Restorative Aides.


* Collaborate: Partner effectively with the interdisciplinary team, communicating patient progress, challenges, and adjusted goals.


* Participate: Attend patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation team meetings as needed.

Schedule & Availability Requirements


* Type: PRN / On-Call


* Hours: Flexible shifts across the week and weekend based on facility census and departmental needs.


* Ideal Candidate Availability: Flexibility to pick up week-day evaluations or provide much-needed weekend coverage.

Qualifications


* Current and valid Occupational Therapist (OTR) License in good standing with the State of California.


* Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.


* Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or post-acute rehab setting is preferred, but not required.


* Strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and a passion for adult/geriatric rehabilitation.
