Substitute Cook

Location West Central School Immediate Supervisor Principal of West Central School Work Schedule On-call, as needed.

Hours vary based on staffing needs and employee absences.

6:30am - 2:00pm Position Description · Prepare and serve breakfasts, lunches, and snacks according to established menus and recipes.

· Assist with food preparation, portioning, and meal service.

· Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.

· Record meal counts, temperatures, and production information as assigned.

· Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, serving areas, refrigerators, freezers, and workspaces.

· Stock and organize food and supplies.

· Support dietary accommodations and student meal requirements.

· Work cooperatively with staff and students.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent.

· Food service experience preferred.

· Knowledge of safe food handling practices preferred.

· Ability to work flexible hours on short notice.

· Successful background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
