Transmissions Analyst 1

Position Overview BLOC Resources LLC is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Transmission Analyst 1 to support Southern Company's Power Delivery Project Support team in Birmingham, Alabama.

This position is responsible for facilitating the capital project closeout process for transmission substation and transmission line projects.

The selected candidate will work closely with Transmission Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Supply Chain, Property Accounting, and Compliance teams to ensure completed transmission capital projects are accurately reconciled, documented, and closed in accordance with established procedures.

The Transmission Analyst will review project expenditures, research financial variances, reconcile actual costs against project estimates, track closeout progress, and maintain accurate project documentation after construction has been completed and the project has been placed into service.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of transmission substations and/or transmission lines, including construction activities, equipment, materials, project scope, and associated costs.

This role requires excellent analytical abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting competing deadlines.
